We have an older Macbook we are using for a temporary work computer. We need to access a certain website. The website requires that we upgrade Safari. We tried to upgrade Safari. Safari said we have to update our OS X to at least Snow Leopard or Lion, before we can upgrade Safari. We purchased Lion. The email said to go download the file using your redemption code. We opened iTunes, the only want to buy software in OS X 10.5.8 that I am aware. It said 'This code must be redeemed in the MAC app store'. We went to the web page for the Mac App Store. It said we must have OS X 6 or higher to have the Mac Apple Store! %&#$! So basically I have to have OS X 6 or higher, in order to be able to download the Mac App Store, and I must have the Mac App Store to be able to upgrade to OS X 6 or higher!
OS X does a pretty good job of stopping viruses and malware from attacking your computer. But it's a good idea to scan for malware to ensure your system is on the up and up. Protect your Mac from malware. MacOS has many features that help protect your Mac and your personal information from malicious software, or malware. One common way malware is distributed is by embedding it in a harmless-looking app. Scan a mac for virus. Download FREE AVG antivirus software for Mac. Protection against viruses, malware & spyware. Easy-to-use virus scanning and clean up.
The first release of the new OS — Mac OS X Server 1.0 — used a modified version of the Mac OS GUI, but all client versions starting with Mac OS X Developer Preview 3 used a new theme known as Aqua. Aqua was a substantial departure from the Mac OS 9 interface, which had evolved with little change from that of the original Macintosh operating.
Any ideas? I've considering putting my fist through the monitor but I don't know if that will work.
- It is possible that the version of Mac OS X you are after was never available from the Mac App Store. This is the case with Snow Leopard - the first version of Mac OS X to come with the Mac App Store.
- App Store Preview for Mac provides a snapshot of the App Store right from your OS X Dashboard. An easy-to-use widget, it lets you sort and search for apps based on cost and popularity.

App Store Download Mac Os
If you’re an Apple Developer Program member, Xcode provides an integrated workflow to prepare and submit apps to App Store. You should use the latest version of Xcode available on the Mac App Store to submit your apps, or when available, the latest GM seed release from the Downloads page.
Do not submit apps built using beta software, as beta versions of Xcode, Operating Systems, and SDKs are for development and testing only.

Invalid private key and certificate pairing
If you received an error message saying, 'Xcode could not find a valid private-key/certificate pair for this profile in your keychain.' This error message indicates that the Keychain Access application on your Mac is missing either the public or private key for the certificate you are using to sign your app.
This often happens when you are trying to sign and build your app from a different Mac than the one you originally used to request your code signing certificate. It can also happen if your certificate has expired or has been revoked. Ensure that your app’s provisioning profile contains a valid code signing certificate, and that the Keychain Access application on your Mac contains that certificate, the private key originally used to generate that certificate, and the WWDR Intermediate Certificate.
For instructions on how to resolve this and other code signing errors, review the Code Signing Support page.
